No-Cost, Targeted First Responder Training for Instructors (Instructor status will be verified)
In collaboration with Tulsa Area Clean Cities coalition, the NAFTC is excited to offer three newly developed, targeted First Responder Safety Training classes for Firefighters, Emergency Medical Services, and Law Enforcement.
Alternative fuel vehicles are becoming more common on Oklahoma’s roadways. With increased vehicle use, the chance of these new technologies being involved in a collision also increases. Firefighters, emergency medical services, and law enforcement need to be trained on the differences in these vehicles and the proper procedures for safely addressing incidents involving natural gas, propane autogas, hydrogen, electric drive and biofuel powered vehicles.
These three new standalone courses are designed to educate firefighters, emergency medical services, and law enforcement on how to safely interact with an alternative fuel vehicle involved in a traffic incident. This includes education on the fuels, how these vehicle differ from conventionally fueled vehicles, and proper, audience-specific procedures to implement when dealing with a collision involving an alternative fuel vehicle.
The course you are registering for is designed to train Emergency Medical Services trainers. Law enforcement and firefighter trainers should register for one of our other targeted training classes.
