The Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Program provides a flexible funding source for state and local governments to fund transportation projects and programs to help meet the requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and its amendments. CMAQ money supports transportation projects which reduce mobile source emissions.
INCOG’s 2024 Call for Projects has been reissued to reflect changes made to the award requirements and application deadline. For public fleet conversions or replacements, funds may be used to cover up to 50% of the new vehicle rather than their incremental cost. The application deadline has also been extended from the initial October date to November 22.
