A Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Workshop for Public and Private Fleet Operators, Business Leaders, and Energy/Transportation Policymakers.
Summary
New technological advancements have recently unlocked significant reserves of natural gas in the United States. The Shale Gas Revolution is leading the way for an energy renaissance in our country providing cheaper and cleaner energy to the manufacturing, transportation and power sectors of our economy. In early September, transportation stakeholders from around the region will gather in Topeka for the third CNG4Kansas day-long symposium. Fleet operators and transportation officials will hear the good news about the cost savings and lower emissions associated with the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) as a vehicle fuel. Presenters will include corporate executives who have already staked their claim on CNG, public fleet operators who have successfully implemented CNG in their fleet management and vehicle producers who are excited for the future of alternative fuel vehicles. Attendees will hear the economic arguments, the environmental arguments and the overall case for conversion to CNG.
